Fuck The TSA

I was pantsed and treated like an inmate returning from a work release program by the TSA in San Diego. What is wrong with us? to let a bunch of Walmart-Wage Police Wannabes get to have their way with us every time we fly! The whole Idea of those Fancy Expensive 3d Scanners that we all got to pay for was so that we could travel smoothly with out having to disrobe or be crotch-fondled by strangers. Sadly we are still having to endure all of that and more. I say build a scanner that works for everything or stop this nonsense altogether and place Special Forces Members on every flight. I'm sure we would be a lot safer and it would most likely cost less money.

Escape

When you think about it for a while you begin to realize that life is so miserable that everyone and I mean everyone needs or has an escape. When you think of escapes you usually think of Drugs and Alcohol or even Sex but Religion is an escape, Sports are an escape, Shopping, Control, hurting others, traveling. Some people, their work is their escape. The more well off you are the more methods of escape you can afford that's why poor people are left with Drugs and Sex, is it really any wonder why there are so many poor people in depressing places? it's because the only escape they can afford is sex. The only thing in life that is not an escape is life itself and that is feeding and clothing and sheltering your self from the elements Everything else is and escape so next time you are being all judgmental and feeling like you have your shit together just think about it for a while...what's your escape?

It's been a while

Well it's been a while since I posted, so much has been going on. I've played some great shows with Tombstoner and have been working on my Leathercraft projects and now it seems it's time to move on. I'll be moving in about a week. I'm hoping the music scene will be good on the Washington coast and I'll meet lots of new cool people. I'm going to miss my friends here in Vancouver terribly though I hope to get back into town often to see them. I also hope to play some more Tombstoner shows with Joe, maybe it's not too early to start planning another big Halloween show!

Summers Almost Gone

Well crap. It's been a really long time since I got on here. Been working on getting my chops back into shape. The Tendinitis I had in my wrists really kept me from playing as much as I wanted. If I played too much it would flair right back up again. Slowly though I have gotten a lot of my stamina back. Been jamming with some people trying to get Tombstoner back into playing form but progress is slow.

Thinking about taking a change in musical direction. I don't know where it will lead but I'm sure I'll enjoy the ride.

It's been a while?

Oh man has hit been a while. Getting rear-ended in the snow storm and rupturing a disc in my back and the following surgery really took a toll on me. I'm feeling better, been playing my guitar again. Now I hope to make music with some cool people really soon.

Life, God and Love

I was going over some old snap shots of Hydrozeen's old website that I found on the Way Back Machine. I was reading our bio and it talked about how we played songs about Death, Hell and Drugs. And that was true, but now I think I should have been writing songs about Life, God and Love.

I'm kind of ashamed of the legacy of lyrics of Hydrozeen, the music was really good but the lyrics for the most part were pretty evil. I don't ever want to write lyrics like that again.

I just hope that I have the time do undo that legacy with new inspiring lyrics and music.
